Product Description:
  1. 20mm crimp headspace vial is widely used in Headspace and GC, GCMS application.
  2. 20mm Aluminum Crimp Cap Seals and Vials ensure that a proper seal is made for this demanding application
  3. Vials are manufactured of borosilicate glass and include a write-in patch for sample identification.
  4. Caps are made of high quality laquered aluminum, 0.010″ thick
  5. Cap colors are available in silver only
  6. Many septa options are available and use only the highest quality materials to ensure proper function and can be pre-slit to ease needle penetration
  7. 0.120″ Natural Silicone with 0.005″ Natural PTFE. Designed for highly demanding volatile analyses (Headspace) up to a maximum of 200C
  8. High quality silicone compounds are used to ensure proper re-sealing and reduced chances of coring
  9. Septa is pre-conditioned to ensure low bleed
  10. Absence of pigments eliminates additional sources of contamination
  11. TODOS crimp top headspace vials are available in a flat or round bottom style, with clear or amber glass.

Flat / Rounded bottom selection guide:

  • Flat bottom vials maximize heating efficiency when used with bottom
  • Round bottom vials distribute the internal pressure created at high temperatures across the glass surface
  • Round bottom vials are more easily handled by robotic arms that lift the vial from the tray
  • A rounded bottom is more sturdy and thus more resistant to the high pressure within the vial during the heating process. Furthermore the vial slides more easily into the heating block when being transported by a magnet.
  • A flat bottom might be necessary when vials have to run within the instrument on a slightly downwards tendency.
  • Flat bottom vials feature a longer neck for fit with Carlo Erba™ and Agilent™ units
  • Round bottom vials are designed for Perkin Elmer™, Tekmar™ and Varian™ units
